To optimize our production and the welfare of our snails, we’ve adopted a hybrid farming approach inspired by the French snail farming system.
During the cold, wet winter months, we use an intensive system inside our high-tech greenhouse. This controlled environment protects the snails from the harsh weather, ensuring their continuous and healthy growth. With the arrival of spring and summer, we move our snails to an extensive, open-field system. This allows them to live and feed in a natural environment, which directly contributes to the superior quality of the mucin. This dual approach lets us leverage the best of both systems, guaranteeing sustainable, high-quality production all year long.
